Various tools for modeling are available in RFEM. The modeling functions allow you to represent complex structures quickly and efficiently in the program. The connection of two circles or arcs, for example, can be generated with the "Tangent to Circles or Arcs" function.
In addition to arcs and circles, SHAPE-THIN 8.xx allows you to model the following curved cross-section parts: ellipses, elliptical arcs, parabolas, hyperbolas, splines, NURBS (non-uniform rational B-Spline).
In addition to straight beams, it is sometimes necessary to calculate or design arched or circular beams in RSTAB. For this purpose, there is a special feature under "Tools" → "Generate Model – Members" → "Circle". You can easily use this tool to generate a full or pitch circle. The most important parameter here is the number of new nodes, which affects the accuracy of the results.
